Key Dates for Non-Livestock Exhibits

  • Pre-registration deadline: August 1st, 2026
  • Entries accepted at the fair: Monday, August 3rd between the hours of 2pm – 6pm, ONLY. No entries will be accepted on Tuesday, August 4th.
  • Judging of exhibits will be on Tuesday, August 4th.
  • Exhibits released: 4:15pm to 6pm on Sunday, August 9th.
  • If you are unable to pick up your exhibits on Sunday, they must be picked up on Monday August 10th between 11:00am – 12:00pm or 6:00pm -7:00pm

Wednesday 9 am - 9 pm
Thursday 9 am - 9 pm
Friday 9 am - 9 pm
Saturday 9 am - 9 pm
Sunday 9 am - 4 pm

Awards

  1. The awards shall be designated by ribbons as follows:

First Premium

Blue Ribbon

Second Premium

Red Ribbon

Third Premium

White Ribbon

  1. Decisions of the judging committee will be final.
  2. No premiums awarded unless the article has been judged by an official judge.
  3. Grand Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons may be given in each division.

OPEN CLASS EXHIBITORS HANDBOOK - GENERAL REGULATIONS

1. Entries are open to anyone whose exhibits represent a recreational hobby or amateur and are not used as a means of livelihood. All work must be done by the exhibitor and not entered multiple times. Exhibitors from adjoining counties may compete for premiums.

2. Each exhibitor may have only one entry in each class, except Division 5 Homemade Wines and Beers. “Not specified” in the premium list, means that there is no class that the exhibit fits into within the Division.

3. All entries must be recorded and numbered by the FairEntry computer system. Tags will be issued which must be attached to the article or stall and remain the duration of the fair or premium is forfeited.

4. The Mille Lacs County Agricultural Society will endeavor to prevent loss or damage to all exhibits but will not be responsible for any such loss or damage that may occur including by water, fire, theft, or otherwise. Exhibitors are responsible for their exhibits at the close of the fair.

5. For sale signs may not be put on open class exhibits.

6. Articles not categorized for judging may be displayed upon approval of the Ag Society Board of Directors. A request may be made to the board of directors to make provisions for additional classes or lots in succeeding years.

7. If the appropriation to pay premiums is insufficient, the board of directors reserves the right to prorate such premiums.

8. No pets or livestock allowed in open class or commercial buildings.

9. The Mille Lacs County Agricultural Society reserves to its Board of Directors the final and absolute right to interpret these regulations and settle all questions or differences arising therefrom.
