ON THE GROUNDS

Dr Dusty

Dr Dusty
Dr Dusty

"Dr. Dusty" is the personification of the old time "Medicine Show" pitchman, complete with wagon, tonics, and original medicine show pitches fashioned to entertain and delight audiences of all ages.

Those who attend Dr. Dusty's Medicine show this year will experience firsthand what fairgoers at the turn of the nineteenth century encountered at the fairs.

Old time medicine shows were akin to a traveling circus. Performers would keep the audience close at hand with amazing acts of comedy, magic, juggling and music, pausing only briefly for the learned "doctor” to step up between shows and pitch his "Marvelous - Miraculous - Mystifying Medicines, Salves and Elixirs.

Joining forces with Dr. Dusty's Medicine Show and new this year's fair are the Faire Wynds fire, magic and mayhem.   Professor Bodkin Childs will provide fire breathing, magic, and sideshow type entertainment which is unique and one of kind you don’t get to see just anyplace, only at the Mille Lacs County Fair.

Show times:

Thursday 11:30 am, 3:30 pm & 6:30 pm
Friday 11:30 am, 3:30 pm & 6:30 pm
Saturday 11:30 am, 3:30 pm & 6:30 pm
Sunday 12 noon & 2 pm
